Exercise is another component of an effective weight loss regimen. You do not have to enroll in a gym nor buy expensive ab machines to lose your stomach fat. You can do crunches and sit-ups. Some of the most effective abdominal exercises are the bicycle crunch, the reverse curl and the Captains chair. Except for the Captain’s chair which requires a type of high exercise chair, effective crunches and sit-ups do not require any type of special equipment and are sure to make you lose your love handles. These types of exercises tighten your abdomen because they tone your abdominal muscles such the rectus abdominis and the intercostals.

You can also engage in cardio exercises. Cardio exercises are simple outdoor activities which are enjoyable, free and are sure to make you lose weight. Some of these enjoyable activities that you can engage in are bicycling, skating, running, brisk walking, jogging, playing sports and other outdoor activities which will make you work out and sweat as you burn calories and trim your waistline.
